Baby James' hand control and coordination are improving on a daily basis. He can now play with a large spinning top.

Little baby James has a fascination for anything with buttons and flashing lights including my camera.

Sadly he does not mind grabbing it with his little grubby fingers. Luckily I was quick enough and escaped just on time!

Baby James loves cakes

Baby James loves cakes or loves sugar we are not too sure yet. He got hold of a lovely cupcake and ate nearly all: some got stuck on his cute little face.

Playing pass the parcel

Baby James was not too sure what to do with the parcel and was a little puzzled by all the people around him.

Our friends from the NCT were very pleased to finally meet our little baby James (after one year).

They were all impressed by how cute and clever he is.

Pass the parcel

At the party the kids played a game called "pass the parcel" whereby kids sit in circle passing a parcel until the music stops.

Then when the music stops the kids who have a parcel open it and find a little present they can keep and play with.

This week-end we went to a party organized by our friends from the NCT group (for their baby's birthday).

Baby James had a great time exploring a great toy tunnel made of fold away parts: Very large deployed but smallish packed up.

Burying the placenta - Step four

So now put the plant on top of the placenta in the hole. Be careful not to squash the placenta, you never know what would come out of this thing if you squashed it (blood on your face?).

Put a little earth around the base of the plant and the gaps, wet the earth around the plant so that it get a nice start in life. Yes you made it to the end, you are really brave!

Congratulations, you can now have a glass of your favourite whisky.

And here it comes step three, you all waited for it. Take the placenta out of the bag.

I recommend wearing gloves if you don't like slimy sticky liquid touching your hands. For the weak of heart try a face mask or ask a friend to take over from here. Yes this is pretty gross.

Another option take the back up side down after carefully opening the two bags so it falls nicely in the hole without splashing you. Make sure to hold on to two bags so.

In step two you will exercise a little bit by digging a nice little hole in the ground to fit the root of the plant and the placenta underneath it. Make sure to get it right you don't want to have to go back and dig out the placenta!

In step one you are going to collect all the goods, so you need:
- one fresh placenta,
- a little tree or bush,
- at least a spade.

Optionally you may want to prepare an old mattress in case you feel unwell and pass out.

For information the placenta is in the (double) yellow bag with the rather worrying sign on it saying "danger bio-hazard"!

This is the real deal no joke.

Time for bed

Trying to put baby James to sleep is not easy at all.

When he wants to sleep, he can sleep through anything but if he does not want to sleep he will not.

Baby James was clearly in a mood to play and we were expecting a rather late night.

Trip to Singapore started badly

We had too much luggage to carry around and at the same time help Hazel.

We requested a wheelchair in the car park which never arrived despite many calls back. To make matter worse in the airport the same thing took place no wheelchair showed up despite the airlines calling them.

Finally I had to go and complain directly to the manager in charge upstairs who promptly corrected the situation and came along to help us carry our luggage.

Little James liked the sofa downstairs very likely because it is less hot than upstairs. Still we had the doors open or the fan turned on.

Burping babies is not as easy as it seems. For instance little James tends to move around a lot (He wants to explore the world).
